Summer Homework Incoming Grade 5
June 15, 2012
Dear Students and Parents,
An early welcome to Grade 5.
One of the most asked questions in math is, “When am I ever going to use this stuff?” Math is used at school, at home, at play, and at work. Should you wear a raincoat today? You’re using probability. Look at any man-made structure and you’ll probably see a triangle, rectangle, or square. Math is all around us. Summer is a good time to see math in the world around us and to practice our math skills.
I have assigned activities on Mathletics. This is a fun way for students to keep up with their math skills.
